Alternative Leather Organizers

I'm so excited to have found some lovely leather organizers!!

I've always been looking for a light weight and compact leather organizer to act as a travel organizer. And yes! I mean to find cheaper (than Filofax) ones.

I've been using my Personal Jack Vintage, but it's still abit bulky to carry during my trips. I really need to keep it slim~~

And finally............ I found these!!

They are made of natural calf leather, the upper design has hard cover, while the lower one has REALLY soft cover.

They have small rings of 5/8" or 15mm. Similar to that of Filofax Compact size. And each of them comes with a set of blank note paper.

I will be sharing how I set it up as my travel organizer soon ^^

I shall be putting some of them up for sale. Hope you can enjoy it as much as I do!!

Happy Filofaxing!

My Work Planner - Compact Metropol

A week ago, I got a Compact Raspberry Metropol from Filofax UK.

Love at first sight!! And I start to understand all the craze about "Raspberry"!! it's really beautiful and really "compact"! haha if that makes sense!

It's the first time I own a Metropol and I'm very impressed by the simplicity and sleek design. There's nothing more or less than you need. It's totally functional and goes with everything.

As compared to my Pocket Aston, It's basically of the same width, abit taller, but thinner!! (Yes of coz, with the smaller rings... but i'm still excited about it ^^)

Then I set it up as a work Filo, and it's doing a  good job so far! it's been a week, and I totally can't imagine how i worked without it before!!!

Do you see the colors on the edges of my calendar? that's how I mark the months for easy access. Old tips, but just to mention and share =)

I'm using the WO2P that comes with it, and it's working great so far. But there are other layouts that I'd like to try out too. We'll see...

Last but not least... a matching pen!!! It's my all time favorite ball point pen. It's the UNI JETSTREAM 4&1. I have another one in Navy too ^^ and probably going back for a purple as it's on sale at a store near me!

Oh yes about this pen, it's super smooth to write with, and I find myself taking notes faster with this pen, great for school and meetings! Highly Recommend!

Thanks for reading~ Happy Filofaxing~~

Weekly Inserts

Got this idea from Ddrabmama.

As lazy as I am, I printed "Daily" "weekly" "media" routines on one column, then "To-do" "To-buy" "Reminders" next to it.

Then, I fold it into half and punch holes =) In such way, I do not have to worry about the alignment of the two sides ^^

BTW, I have my Today ruler in the middle of the insert, such that I do not have to flip twice to see the other page ; )

How I ended up with 5 Filofax in 2.5 mths

First, it was a pocket Aston in Orchid that I got at a local retail store. It is a fabulous organizer, with the soft leather and leather smell.

Then, I saw many post about having a mini Filofax as wallet, so I grab a mini black Chameleon from the Filofax UK. Too bad, it's still unused sitting in the box.

The next few came really fast.

Next is a A5 Red Domino as spiritual journal. Then a pocket Saffiano in Aqua from Filofax UK as there was a 5GBP-less offer. Last but not least a personal Jack Vintage as travel journal.

I'm not sure about others, but I tend to make up some "needs" to buy just another Filofax... travel journal? I've never thought of writing before =D

Well, I'm waiting for my A5 Malden in Aqua to arrive >,< And that one is for my 30/365 5-yr journal... hahaha... with Filofax, I'm turning into a journal-girl~~~

My First Post: How my Filo-Craze started?

For as long as I can remember, I am obsessed with "organizing". I couldn't stop searching for organizing tips and buying organizational tools. Like baskets and baskets and baskets...haha... I have a facbook page on that but haven't been updating since I started filofax-ing~~

Yes, I was searching for all kinds of organizing tips when I come accross Filofax on Youtube. WOW~~ I knew I NEED one!!! In fact I had the habit of using a ring organizer since secondary school (A Muji metal 6-ring binder), but I do not remember how I lost the habit half way thru' University. And in that split of second, I know I am going to pick it up again!! Yay!!

I started browsing the Filofax UK site, and after hundreds of click, I was able to locate a local store that carrys the brand. (BTW, I stays in Hong Kong =P). Well, I ran to the store, and after touching everyone of them and with the help of the shop keeper, I picked my first Filofax -- Pocket Aston in Orchid !!! I love the color, I love the smell of the leather, I love the size, I love everything about it.

From then, needless to say, I am browsing on the net and in the shops all day about Filofax and the decorations, stationary, and refills to go with it... and the Filofax-Family started growing... until one day (today), I decided to blog about this whole Filo-Craze of mine.

I have not really taken photos of my Filofaxes yet, but already too eager to do this first post. Hope to share much much more in the near near future ^^
